On August 12th, the eagerly awaited second season of the hit Korean drama "Squid Game" unveiled its teaser trailer, signaling the return of Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) as contestant number 456, who embarks on a new journey into the heart of the games alongside a fresh roster of players.
The announced cast for the second season includes not only the original core members Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Gong Yoo, and Wi Ha-joon but also an impressive lineup of twelve newcomers: Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Park Kyung-eung, Jo Yoo-ri, Kang Ae-rin, Lee Dae-wook, Lee Jin-wook, T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun), No Jae-woon, and Won Ji-an. Among the game challenges, the boyfriend of the iconic "Young-hee," the wooden doll from the "Red Light, Green Light" challenge, will make his appearance, while the other rounds will adhere to the principle of using the simplest rules to reveal the most intricate aspects of human nature.
"Squid Game Season 2" is set to stream on Netflix starting December 26th, with the third and final season already greenlit and scheduled for release in 2025.
